Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire where she studied at the Dragon School. At the age of six, Emma realized she would like to be an actress and for several years, she studied at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned singing dancing and acting. When she was 10, she had already taken part in a variety of Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was identified by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher.
