MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been impacted by his global reach. Una Lady Como Tu, his smash hit of 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It reached the top 8 spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. He also collaborated with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. Later in 2021 he was featured on a duet TINI on her smash streaming song Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was first released in 2023. Turizo was born into a household of music both his parents are musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is compulsory. He began learning to play the saxophone, guitar, the keyboard and the ukulele when he was the age of a small child. His original plan of action was to become a vet, but his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under the help of a Cuban instructor. What he got was finding out that he was blessed with a talent for singing changed the direction of his life.
